About the Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Structural Geologist to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Principal Geotechnical Engineer and Geology Manager and work on an 8:6 roster.
Your focus will be on interpreting and delivering expert structural geology insights to optimise mine safety and efficiency.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Interpreting structural geology from underground scanning, core logging, and face mapping, and assisting with data collection (underground and core shed).
Developing and maintaining accurate 3D structural models to support mining operations.
Collaborating with geology and geotechnical teams to provide clear, data-driven structural advice.
Managing structural data collection, validation, and reporting in line with company standards.
Mentoring and training geologists, engineers, and technicians to build structural geology capability.
Promoting safety leadership by embedding HSEC practices and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have strong structural geology experience, preferably gained in site-based roles with exposure to underground mining environments. Leadership experience is also essential, including coaching, training, and supervising teams.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in geological science or a related discipline.
Proficiency in structural data collection, validation, and modelling, with the ability to draw sound geological interpretations from large datasets.
Experience with mining and geological software packages such as PointStudio, Geobank, Leapfrog, Deswik, Gem4D, and Rock Mapper.
A current C-class manual driver’s licence.
