The role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team reporting to the Director of Software Engineering. You will work to improve software quality by implementing testing processes throughout the entire software development lifecycle for our mobile apps, firmware, and cloud services. This includes embedding automated tests into development pipelines and creating efficient processes for resolving any bugs or defects.
You will take a holistic approach to software quality and help shape the direction of software testing. This means testing code changes early and often to improve quality and reduce the overall burden on the development teams. To be successful, you will bring a strong technical acumen and soft skills.
Please note that this is an on\-site role and you must live within a reasonable
commuting distance of the Luna Health site in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities
Test Development and Validation
Design, develop, execute, and maintain product E2E tests for system integrations
Ownership of the test plan \& validation strategy for software releases
Maintain the continuous integration environment
Define system tests to assess correctness of system functionality
Automate screenshot testing against the GUI requirements spec
Automate Bluetooth testing of a medical device peripheral
Run tests, analyze test results against expectations, and help debug observed quality issues
Maintenance and Sustaining
Test compatibility of new iOS releases and Apple phones
Regression test and validate open\-source package updates
Stay informed on known bugs and vulnerabilities in open\-source package dependencies
Actively monitor for product and data quality issues during internal testing and clinical trials
Qualification of new development tools (e.g., Xcode)
What you bring
At minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5\+ years of software testing experience
Programming experience using Swift or another OOP language
Expertise writing Cucumber tests in the Gherkin language for a native iOS application
Xcode XCUITest development experience
Experience developing \& validating software in a regulated industry (e.g., medical, government, etc.)
Familiarity with writing protocols for software verification and validation
Demonstrated cross\-functional collaboration
Knowledge of test frameworks and strategies for iOS, Google Cloud Platform, and Node.js
