About the Role
As a key member of our Engineering team in Wangara, WA, you'll be part of the driving force behind our advanced braking systems. You'll be involved in the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, helping to ensure our products are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage your own tasks in new product development and product adaptation projects
Create 3D CAD models and 2D CAD drawings to Australian and International standards
Identify and solve issues quickly by leveraging problem solving tools and engineering competence
Design and commission test rigs and help prepare vehicles for testing
Create test procedures and manage testing to Verify and Validate that the product meets the customer requirements
Create engineering and technical documentation including but not limited to design review presentations, design calculations, statement of requirements, work instructions, workshop manuals and technical bulletins
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering accredited by Engineers Australia (or equivalent) with at least 10 years’ experience
Industry recognition from Engineers Australia as Chartered Engineer (CPEng) desirable
Design, test and certify to national and international standards (ADR, AS, ECE, MVSS, CE \& ISO)
Certified in Geometric Tolerancing Applications (GD\&T) and Tolerance Stacks desirable
Experience in design and management of workshop test rigs for braking components
Minimum 3 years’ experience with MoTeC data logging hardware and i2Pro software
Minimum 3 years’ experience with 3D CAD modelling and 2D drafting to AS 1100 (or similar)
Minimum 3 years’ experience with Autodesk Vault and Inventor software
Proficiency in setup and use of HBM data acquisition systems and FAMOS software
Strong proficiency in Race Logic data acquisition hardware and software
Ability to create test plans specifically for wet braking systems for test rig and vehicle testing
Strong proficiency in the use of 3D scanning tools and optimising software
