Project Role Description : Design, develop and maintain data solutions for data generation, collection, and processing. Create data pipelines, ensure data quality, and implement ETL (extract, transform and load) processes to migrate and deploy data across systems.

Summary: Summary: We are looking for an experienced and strong Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SQL Engineer with strong expertise in data integration, ETL/ELT development, and SQL performance tuning. The candidate will design, develop, and support scalable data pipelines on Azure, working closely with data engineers, BI teams, and stakeholders to ensure reliable and secure data delivery. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines for batch and incremental data loads. Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows integrating data from multiple sources (Azure SQL, SQL Server, Blob Storage, ADLS, APIs, etc.). Develop and maintain SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions with a focus on performance and scalability. Perform SQL performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for ADF pipeline failures and performance issues. Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and production issues, ensuring SLA adherence. Work on CI/CD pipelines for ADF deployments using Azure DevOps (ADO). Ensure data quality, data validation, and adherence to governance and security standards. Collaborate with business and reporting teams (Power BI / Analytics) to support data consumption needs. Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs. Required Skills \& Experience 4+ years of experience in data engineering / SQL development. Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (pipelines, datasets, linked services, triggers). Advanced SQL expertise (SQL Server / Azure SQL) including query optimization and indexing. Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Azure Blob Storage. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for work item tracking and CI/CD. Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL patterns, and incremental load strategies. Experience in production support, incident handling, and root cause analysis. Good to Have Experience with Power BI integration and data modeling. Knowledge of Python / Azure Databricks. Familiarity with data security, compliance, and governance. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Proactive mindset with ownership of deliverables.
