What you’ll do
The DevOps Engineer will implement and maintain infrastructure as code solutions, configuration management processes, and CI/CD pipelines across AWS and Azure cloud environments. This role focuses on hands-on delivery of automated infrastructure solutions, code versioning and release management, and supporting infrastructure automation practices within engineering teams while maintaining DevOps principles. The engineer will work collaboratively with development and operations teams to streamline deployment processes and ensure reliable, scalable cloud infrastructure.
Due to the secure nature of this role, we are looking for candidates that has Australian citizenship and with an active security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure as Code Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform across AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
Configuration Management: Configure and maintain systems using Ansible (AWX preferred) for consistent environment management across cloud environments.
Pipeline Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment.
Automation Development: Develop and maintain automation scripts and processes to streamline infrastructure operations and deployments.
Container Management: Work with Docker containers and support Kubernetes orchestration implementations.
Repository Management: Manage code repositories and implement branching strategies using Azure DevOps.
Monitoring and Support: Implement monitoring solutions and provide operational support for deployed applications and infrastructure.
Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into their workflows.
Here’s what you need:
Proven experience implementing infrastructure as code solutions and configuration management processes
Hands-on experience with automated infrastructure implementation and process optimization
Strong experience in code releasing and versioning practices
Proficiency with Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repositories)
Solid experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code across AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
Experience with configuration management using Ansible (AWX preferred)
Competent Bash scripting skills for automation tasks
Experience with Docker containers
Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
Experience working in cross-functional teams
Australian citizenship with active baseline security clearance at minimum
Bonus points if with:
Understanding of Kubernetes container orchestration (OpenShift preferred)
Basic knowledge of HashiCorp Vault for secrets management experience
