Director, Digital Design based in Greater Toronto Area

Accommodations Plus International is the global leader in crew accommodation solutions, and we are changing the way businesses manage travel. Our technology platform streamlines the entire crew planning process, making day-to-day operations more efficient and elevating the crew layover experience.

We are seeking an exceptional Director, Digital Design to lead the end-to-end design of

intuitive, scalable, and beautiful platform experiences across mobile and web. You will play a

key role in designing for both sides of our ecosystem—Crew members and suppliers —and

ensuring consistency, usability, and delight across touchpoints. This role requires strong hands-on design execution, systems thinking, and cross-functional collaboration with product managers, engineers, and data teams in a fast-paced environment.

This position may be hybrid based in our Markham, Ontario office or be fully remote within North America.

The successful Director, Digital Design will be instrumental in shaping our design system, UX principles, and the craft culture within the organization. What You’ll Do

Experience Design* Lead the UX design of core platform journeys (e.g., onboarding, search/discovery, bookings, ratings, support).

Translate product strategy into wireframes, mockups, user flows, and prototypes.

Apply platform thinking to ensure reusability of UI/UX patterns across products and verticals.

UI Design \& Systems* Create high-fidelity UI designs that align with brand guidelines and accessibility standards.

Contribute to and evolve the design system to support consistent cross-product experiences.

Ensure responsiveness and platform-specific UI behavior (iOS, Android, web).

User Research \& Insights* Collaborate with researchers and PMs to understand user needs via interviews, surveys, analytics, and testing.

Interpret qualitative and quantitative data to validate design decisions.

Iterate designs based on user testing and feedback loops.

Cross-functional Collaboration* Work closely with engineers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and feasibility

Collaborate with product managers to shape features and prioritize enhancements.

Support design reviews and contribute to a strong design critique culture.

Design Leadership \& Mentorship* Provide guidance and feedback to junior designers to improve team craft quality.

Define UI/UX best practices, principles, and processes.

Stay on top of design trends and emerging UX paradigms in platform ecosystems.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum Qualifications* 6+ years of professional design experience with at least 2 years in senior-level roles.

Strong portfolio showcasing UX and UI work for web and native mobile apps.

Deep understanding of design systems, accessibility, and platform-specific guidelines.

Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Zeplin, or similar.

Experience working in agile, cross-functional product teams.

Preferred Qualifications* Experience designing multi-sided platforms or marketplaces (e.g., Uber, Airbnb, Instacart).

Familiarity with user segmentation and persona-based design.

Exposure to analytics tools and A/B testing frameworks.

Ability to work in fast-paced, iterative environments with incomplete data.
