This purpose of the Data Scientist MLOps role is:

As part of our commitment to advancing AI and machine learning capabilities, we are expanding our operational excellence in deploying, monitoring, and scaling ML solutions. This role focuses on building and maintaining ML pipelines, automating workflows, and supporting production deployments, ensuring models deliver value at scale in a secure and compliant environment.

You will work closely with Senior MLOps Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Teams to develop robust pipelines, implement monitoring, and contribute to automation initiatives across the ML lifecycle.

This position offers a blend of in-office in our Limerick office and remote work, designed to foster team collaboration and innovation, particularly during designated days throughout the workweek.

A typical day at ACI for a Data Scientist MLOps is:

Assist in building and maintaining ML pipelines for model training, deployment, and monitoring.

Support automation of workflows for data ingestion, feature engineering, and CI/CD for ML systems.

Implement and maintain observability tools to monitor model performance and system health.

Collaborate with Data Scientists to operationalise models and integrate them into business applications.

Contribute to cloud infrastructure optimization for ML services.

Follow and promote best practices in MLOps, including versioning and reproducibility.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities for automation.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI/ML, or related field.

At least 2 years of experience in MLOps, ML engineering, or related roles.

Hands-on experience with deploying ML models or supporting ML workflows in production environments.

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)

Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Linux \& bash commands.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker).

Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform).

Exposure to monitoring and observability tools for ML systems.

Familiarity with data versioning and model registry concepts.

Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn automation practices.

Agile methodology experience (SCRUM) and collaborative mindset.

Experience of security \& compliance measures for ML systems.
