Job Description:
On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a DevOps Engineer. You will play a critical role in shaping the foundation of our infrastructure, development workflows, and deployment pipelines. You will help the team in building a highly scalable, secure, and efficient system, working closely with product and engineering stakeholders to deliver platform excellence. This is a hands-on role focused on both execution and architectural vision, ideal for a DevOps expert with a strong Linux and Kubernetes background.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain our cloud-native infrastructure using best practices for reliability, scalability, and performance.
Lead and mentor the engineering team on DevOps standards, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, container orchestration, and security.
Develop and maintain system architecture, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.
Analyze, document, and optimize performance-critical modules of the platform.
Own and evolve our CI/CD pipelines and release engineering practices.
Collaborate with product owners, developers, and QA to ensure delivery pipelines are automated, observable, and reproducible.
Recommend and introduce modern tools to improve engineering velocity and infrastructure resilience.
Support production deployments and participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in software engineering and/or DevOps, with demonstrated leadership in technical teams
Strong hands-on experience with Linux system internals, performance tuning, and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
Strong and Proven experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration at scale
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and related DevOps tooling
Proficiency with monitoring, observability, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
Experience with secure system design and DevSecOps best practices
Familiarity with source control and team workflows using Git in a distributed environment
Strong understanding of scalable system design, deployment strategies, and fault tolerance
Nice to Have:
Experience working with GPU drivers (NVIDIA, AMD) or performance-sensitive systems
Experience with AI tooling such as LLM, vector databases, MCP
