Job Description

The Role

The Storefront Engineer will take ownership of the company’s Shopify storefront and work closely with the Growth team on feature development, conversion rate optimisation (CRO) experiments and improvements to the underlying codebase.

This role suits someone who enjoys identifying opportunities to improve performance, testing new ideas and contributing to growth initiatives rather than simply executing tasks. There will be significant scope to influence storefront performance, architecture and experimentation processes.

Key Responsibilities

Own and develop the front end of the Shopify storefront, building and deploying new features.

Collaborate with the Growth team to design, implement and analyse CRO experiments including A/B tests, landing page variations and funnel improvements.

Implement and maintain analytics tracking to measure marketing and experiment performance across the funnel.

Translate design and growth concepts into high-quality front-end experiences.

Continuously optimise performance and page speed with a focus on Core Web Vitals.

Explore AI-assisted development tools and automation platforms to improve development workflows and support marketing automation.

Contribute ideas for experiments, improvements and new features that could drive conversion and growth.

Maintain clean, scalable front-end code and contribute to improving the overall codebase.

Potential Projects (First 6–12 Months)

Deliver custom website features designed to improve conversion rates

Develop landing page frameworks to enable faster experimentation

Improve storefront performance, SEO and page speed

Expand analytics tracking across the customer journey

Reduce reliance on third-party apps by building lightweight internal solutions

Candidate Requirements

2–4 years of experience building production front-end web applications, ideally within ecommerce or direct-to-consumer environments

Shopify experience is preferred, although strong front-end developers willing to learn the Shopify ecosystem and Liquid are encouraged to apply

Strong foundations in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with experience working in Git-based workflows

Experience implementing or contributing to CRO experiments and testing backlogs

Interest in AI development tools and automation within development workflows

Strong attention to detail and good instincts for UX and conversion optimisation

Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where engineering and growth teams work closely together

Desirable Experience

Experience with HubSpot and other DTC martech tools.

Exposure to Tracklution and event-based analytics setups.

Experience with marketing automation or no-code / low-code tooling

Personal interest in design-led consumer brands, culture or lifestyle products

Working Arrangements

Hybrid working is supported, with team members typically expected to spend 2-3 days per week in the office to collaborate closely with colleagues and gain insight into customer behaviour and feedback.

Package

£45,000–£50,000 depending on experience

Company pension

25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Staff product discount

Equity package

Opportunity to contribute to the growth of a premium consumer brand
