Job Description:
AI Talent is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify and gather system requirements, develop system plans and supporting documentation, assess and improve existing systems, and design tailored solutions that align with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with users and business units to identify business/operational pain points, elicit and analyse requirements, investigate and assess business/operating procedures, and collaborate with the team to provide solutions
Formulate and document business requirements based on the analysis of current business processes and procedures
Act as a central reference between business and technology units to facilitate business-IT alignment and support the data-driven decision-making process
Collaborate with stakeholders (developer/product manager/etc.) to identify and recommend software solutions
Develop detailed functional requirement specifications using epics and user stories
Work with UI designers to create and review UI designs that align with system specifications
Communicate software requirements to the development and QA teams during walkthroughs and planning sessions
Create clear system specifications through the use of use case diagrams, data/process modelling, flowcharts, or other UMLs for system development
Perform user acceptance testing to ensure the software is in line with requirements, meets quality standards, and plan deployment cycles
Conduct market research and system analysis to support third-party integrations
Identify gaps and inefficiencies, and suggest improvements to processes or system specifications
Work within an Agile team environment to implement best practices and deliverables on schedule and within budget
Create and maintain onboarding/training documentation and conduct training sessions for new team members or customers
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, specialising in Business Analytics
Minimum 2 years of full-time experience working as a Business Analyst
Experience writing detailed, clear, and consistent functional requirement specifications using epics and user stories
Proven ability to prioritise business requirements effectively
Hands-on experience creating system specifications using UMLs
Experience working with REST APIs
Strong understanding of databases with the ability to write SQL queries
Knowledge of backend and frontend technologies
Understanding of responsive design and systems
Strong understanding of client-server architecture
Experience working within Agile – Scrum development methodology
Hands-on experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Azure DevOps
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and thrive in a dynamic team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in using MS Visio for Business Process Modelling
