Akin AI, a Sydney-based public benefit company, is seeking a talented and creative Junior full stack Developer to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of human habitats

Responsibilities:

As a Developer at Akin AI, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative AI-powered applications and robots. Your responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to architect and build robust web and mobile applications that interface with AI systems and robots

Writing efficient, clean, and maintainable code in JavaScript and TypeScript.

Leveraging your experience to create engaging user interfaces and seamless user experiences.

Utilizing cloud technologies, particularly AWS Amplify and Azure, to develop scalable and secure solutions.

Participating in product development, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the highest quality standards.

Skills:

Preferred programming languages JavaScript, NodeJS, React and React Native, Python, Java, C++, ROS2

Experience with software robotics integration (eg speakers, mikes, interfacing to conversational AI / controller systems) would be a major plus

Proficiency in building scalable and secure cloud-based solutions using AWS and/or Azure services, and cloud migrations

Familiarity with serverless functions and their integration into application architectures.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with a focus on delivering scalable and efficient code.

Self-driven and motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects.

A creative thinker with a passion for exploring new technologies and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

Good communication skills and the ability to effectively present ideas, meet with clients and and collaborate in video calls.
