Role Summary
We are seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to support a large-scale digital transformation initiative within a modern cloud environment.
In this role, you will contribute to the optimisation of software delivery processes and the efficient management of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps best practices. You will work closely with development and platform teams to build automated pipelines, manage cloud environments, and enhance monitoring and observability capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to support automated software delivery.
· Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
· Champion DevSecOps and GitOps principles across development and operations teams.
· Manage and automate cloud infrastructure environments across AWS and other cloud platforms.
· Design and manage artifact builds for modern hosting approaches including serverless and container-based deployments.
· Manage container orchestration and serverless architectures.
· Build and maintain monitoring and observability solutions to track system performance and reliability.
· Contribute to establishing and maintaining internal DevOps standards and best practices.
Required Skills \& Experience
Technical Capabilities \& Experience
· Strong experience working with AWS cloud services including VPC, serverless architectures, ECS, IAM, and related services.
· Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including provisioning, state management, and automation practices.
· Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps or SRE practices including monitoring and incident response.
· Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and security-focused development practices.
· Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or Java (Node.js experience is a bonus).
· Advanced experience with Git and version control workflows, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
· Solid understanding of networking concepts including DNS, CIDR, subnets, firewalls, and load balancing.
· Experience with containerisation, orchestration, and serverless architectures.
· Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
