The Role
We are seeking a skilled
Backend Server Software Engineer
to join our client's Digital Engineering \& Services team. This role involves working within a cross-functional development scrum team to deliver innovative solutions supporting mobile connectivity services. This is a 7 months contract with potential for renewal.
Key Responsibilities
Develop backend features as part of a complex solution, including design, implementation, validation, and deployment.
Contribute to technical and user documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional scrum team and with other teams responsible for different subsystems.
Ensure compliance with established development standards, policies, and best practices.
Review and challenge requirement specifications, identifying unclear scope, potential issues, and risks.
Manage technical risks and communicate regularly with project stakeholders.
Provide regular progress and risk reports.
Required Skills \& Experience
Approximately 4 years of experience as a developer with strong expertise in
Java technologies
, building solutions deployed on
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Serverless architecture
.
Hands-on experience with
Linux, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, RESTful APIs, Karate test framework
, relational databases, design patterns, and microservices architecture.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology
, or a related field.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
