We are currently seeking a Sales Manager for a small growing Auckland based construction company specializing in concrete foundation, civil and earthwork solutions for residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities
The Sales Manager will work within businesses to increase sales, develop sales plans and recruit new customers or clients. You will work alongside team members in other departments within the business to identify ways to develop the business. This is a role that will have a real impact in the company, leading it to the next level, and has great growth potential. The company is 9 years old, has done over 400 local projects, and has a team of 45 with 5 construction crews providing services in civil and concrete.
Tasks and duties
Developing growth strategies and plans, by identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs.
Develop and implement marketing for new customer acquisition.
Map potential customers through online tools like LinkedIn.
Managing and nurturing relationships with existing customers.
Attending networking events and hosting stands at exhibitions and conferences.
Researching prospects, cold calling potential customers and responding to incoming leads to increase your client base.
Writing business proposals and presenting these to potential customers.
Providing specialist advice on the products and/or services you’re selling.
Negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts.
Experience
5 years of construction-based business development experience in New Zealand.
Must have sales experience for services in the civil and concrete trades.
A solid understanding of the market and players within the civil and concrete trades.
Have a strong network of contacts within the New Zealand construction industry (civil and concrete trades).
Have the ability to be the sole person to manage the sales of the company.
Have the ability or experience developing a company's sales plans and strategies.
Have the desire to build a sales department and run a sales team.
