Operations \& Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the end-to-end procurement and transportation of goods, managing the movement of equipment and PPE from factories mainly in China to group business units worldwide.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty across global operations.

Manage the supply chain budget and lead high-stakes negotiations with suppliers, factories, and freight forwarders to secure optimal prices, terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards.

Evaluate existing vendors based on quality, conformity, compliance, timeliness, and price. Actively find and onboard new suppliers to provide maximum benefit to the entire group and ensure quality of procured items, addressing problems immediately and in accordance with Altrad Group policies.

Ensure all sourced and purchased products meet the latest Directives, Regulations and standards in force, and address problems when they arise.

Develop long-term sourcing plans for high-capital equipment and high-volume PPE, integrating Group sustainability and compliance standards into vendor selection.

Support/lead other business activities and ad hoc tasks as required, bridging communication between sales teams, field operations, Quality and procurement to resolve bottlenecks.

Required Qualifications \& Skills

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain planning, preferably within multinational organizations, with at least 3 years in a management role. Preferably in the construction / heavy equipment / PPE / machinery / gardening industries

Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential for managing a diverse, global world-wide supply chain.

Must be self-driven, collaborative, problem solving skills and adaptable to dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Proficiency in ERP with a focus on data analysis tools for performance tracking, sounds of knowledge in construction equipment

Good command of both spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin a must) and English to facilitate international trade and communication. French as a 3rd language welcome.
