Senior Backend Engineer (Fintech / Lending Platform)
Weāre looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who will help design and build a new platform from scratch.
What youāll do
Design and implement backend services for loan origination, core loans, payments, risk and internal backoffice tools.
Own end-to-end features: from architecture and data model to APIs, tests and production monitoring.
Integrate with payment providers, credit bureaus, KYC/risk services and communication platforms (SMS/WhatsApp/email).
Work closely with product, risk and operations to translate business rules into clean, reliable code.
Help define technical standards, code quality practices and deployment patterns.
What weāre looking for
5+ years of backend development experience in production systems.
Strong skills in at least one modern backend stack (e.g. Python/FastAPI, Node.js/NestJS, or .NET) and SQL databases (PostgreSQL / SQL Server).
Solid understanding of distributed systems, REST APIs, queues, caching, transactions and data consistency.
Experience with cloud platforms (ideally GCP), Docker and CI/CD.
Bonus: experience in fintech, lending, payments, risk, or high-volume transactional systems.
Proactive, comfortable working in a small team, able to take ownership and make pragmatic decisions.
Location
Mexico or LATAM time zones preferred (remote / hybrid is possible).
