About The Job We are seeking a Quality and Automation Manager to lead the QA team at the Vietnam GDC. This role is central to ensuring delivery excellence, test governance, and automation scalability across multi-client offshore projects. You will manage a multidisciplinary QA team, drive consistent standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to embed quality into every phase of the delivery lifecycle. Strong hands-on technical knowledge and leadership in both manual and automation testing are essential.
Key responsibilities include:
QA Strategy \& Governance
Define and maintain GDC-wide QA standards, templates, and test governance
Ensure consistent quality practices across test planning, execution, and defect management
Support compliance with delivery frameworks and security guidelines
Automation \& CI/CD Integration
Promote adoption of automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
Oversee automation of high-value regression and critical business workflows
Collaborate with DevOps to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
Delivery \& Team Leadership
Manage QA engineers across multiple sub-teams and projects
Plan resources, mentor talent, and ensure balanced allocation across project phases
Foster a high-performance, detail-oriented, and test-first culture
Collaboration \& Project Engagement
Work closely with development, product, and project teams to ensure testable and traceable requirements
Represent QA in sprint ceremonies, UAT support, and client delivery checkpoints
Participate in presales estimation, risk assessment, and onboarding of fixed-price engagements
Quality Metrics \& Continuous Improvement
Track quality KPIs, defect leakage, and test coverage across releases
Build dashboards to monitor project health and QA effectiveness
Lead retrospectives and process enhancements to drive delivery predictability
ABOUT YOU
7+ years of experience in QA, with 2+ years in a team leadership capacity
Strong experience in both manual testing and modern test automation frameworks
Proficient in tools like JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, Postman, JMeter, and CI/CD platforms
Hands-on understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and client-facing communication skills
Familiarity with intelligent test automation or AI-based QA tooling is a plus
Preferred certifications (not mandatory): ISTQB Advanced, Certified Agile Tester, or equivalent
