Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description
Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Knowledge Graph Engineer to join an R\&D Data Science team supporting the digital health and data strategy domain. The ideal candidate will design and maintain knowledge graph infrastructures that connect biomedical and clinical data to power analytics, AI, and research insights. This role combines semantic data modeling, ontology design, and graph technologies with a strong focus on scalability and interoperability.
Location: Barcelona, Spain Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement knowledge graph and ontology solutions supporting biomedical and clinical data integration.
Apply semantic web standards (RDF, OWL, SPARQL) and develop APIs or data pipelines for structured data exchange.
Collaborate with cross-functional data science, IT, and DevOps teams to deploy and optimize graph-based systems.
Maintain data models, documentation, and metadata standards to ensure clarity and interoperability.
Support AI, NLP, and search applications that leverage graph-based data.
Ideal Profile
Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field.
5–7 years of experience in knowledge graph engineering, ontology management, or semantic data systems.
Strong hands-on experience with Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or similar graph databases.
Solid background in semantic technologies, linked data, and data modeling for life sciences or healthcare.
Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Git, or cloud-based DevOps environments (Azure/AWS).
