Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job Description Amaris Consulting is looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team in Brussels. In this role, you will take ownership of the design, automation, and governance of complex cloud infrastructures. You’ll lead cloud initiatives, guide best practices across teams, and contribute to strategic decisions that drive digital transformation for our clients in an international and collaborative environment.
Your Responsibilities:
Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Lead cloud migration and modernization projects from on-premises to hybrid or fully cloud environments
Automate infrastructure provisioning and management through IaC tools and CI/CD pipelines
Ensure compliance, cost optimization, and security governance across cloud platforms
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical architecture with business objectives
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to junior engineers
Stay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend innovations to enhance system performance and resilience
Your Profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or related field
7+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Architect
Expertise in one or more major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Strong hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM), CI/CD tools, and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Proficient in scripting or automation languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and performance optimization
Fluent in English and either French or Dutch
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Availability to work on-site in Brussels
