Job Description We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer – Industrial AI Coordination \& Technical Support to join a dynamic team in Namur, Belgium, operating within an advanced industrial environment undergoing digital transformation. This role is central to driving data automation, ensuring data quality, and enabling intelligent applications across production systems.
You will play a key role in structuring industrial data flows, automating migration processes, and developing operational AI use cases—combining technical expertise with hands-on innovation in a real production setting.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Coordination \& Project Leadership
Lead and structure the automation of data integration from publishing systems to enterprise digital platforms, leveraging AI-driven methods (e.g., Machine Learning, NLP) to streamline schema mapping and data migration.
Document, prepare, and monitor scripts and workflows for automated data migration, supporting the identification of data correspondences using intelligent techniques.
Propose and pilot the first operational DATA \& AI use cases for the production line—such as predictive maintenance, process supervision, and automated quality control.
Support cross-functional teams in structuring industrial data to enable future AI deployments.
Conduct technology watch and provide regular reporting on Data \& AI trends, fostering collaboration across IT, OT, engineering, and data teams.
Technical Implementation \& Development
Act as the technical right-hand of the Data Coordinator, responsible for implementing data pipelines, ETL processes, and AI-enhanced migration workflows using simulated or real industrial data.
Design, develop, and test production-ready AI prototypes, including applications in:
Predictive maintenance
Process monitoring
Automated quality inspection
Structure and curate datasets for model training and deployment, enforcing data quality rules, normalization standards, and automated ingestion pipelines.
Ensure seamless integration with industrial systems such as MES, UNS, and PLM environments, maintaining robust and traceable data flows.
Produce comprehensive technical documentation and lead knowledge transfer initiatives to empower local teams.
Your Profile:
Engineering degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial IT, or equivalent field.
4–6 years of professional experience in industrial data environments, manufacturing digitalization, or similar Industry 4.0 contexts.
Proven expertise in data engineering: ETL processes, data migration, scripting (e.g., Python), and workflow automation.
Hands-on experience applying AI/ML techniques (e.g., anomaly detection, NLP, predictive modeling) in real-world industrial settings.
Solid understanding of industrial systems and interfaces (e.g., MES, PLM, UNS) and data interoperability challenges.
Fluent in French with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with data preparation tools (e.g., Trifacta, Alteryx) or MLOps pipelines.
Knowledge of data quality frameworks, governance models, and audit processes in industrial contexts.
Field-oriented mindset – comfortable working close to production environments and engaging with operational teams.
