How you’ll make an impact

The Lead Product Manager, Lending is responsible for driving the commercial performance of AMP Bank’s lending portfolio through pricing, portfolio management and retention strategies, ensuring delivery of growth, margin and return targets while operating within risk appetite and supporting the Bank’s broader strategy.

You’ll make an impact by:

Lending portfolio performance \& optimisation: Manage day ‑ to ‑ day performance of the lending portfolio across mortgages and business finance, identifying risks and opportunities to deliver volume, margin and return targets within risk appetite, and supporting portfolio optimisation and product rollouts.

Pricing \& retention strategy: Lead new business and retention pricing through market and competitor monitoring, governance of pricing changes, committee representation and escalation management, balancing customer outcomes, profitability and portfolio sustainability.

Planning, forecasting \& commercial insight: Drive portfolio inputs into strategic planning and forecasting, maintain rolling forecasts, and partner with Finance, Treasury and Risk to ensure aligned assumptions, robust modelling and clear performance insights.

Customer journey \& experience optimisation: Support end ‑ to ‑ end lending journeys across platforms, identify and remove friction points, manage pricing and product complaints, and optimise retention and servicing interactions across the lending lifecycle.

Stakeholder leadership \& capability uplift: Act as a trusted commercial partner across Distribution, Marketing, Operations, Risk and Analytics, support broader lending strategy and transformation initiatives, and mentor junior product team members.

What you will bring to the team

Extensive mortgage product expertise, with 7plus years’ experience in banking or specialist lending environments, and a strong track record in pricing, portfolio management and commercial decision ‑ making.

Strong commercial and financial acumen, including forecasting, business case development and a clear understanding of return on capital and risk management.

Advanced analytical capability, able to translate complex data into clear insights, recommendations and actions for a range of stakeholders.

Proven stakeholder leadership, with the ability to influence, coordinate and collaborate effectively across teams, including senior leaders.

Highly organised and delivery ‑ focused, able to prioritise competing demands, manage multiple initiatives and consistently drive outcomes.

Clear and confident communicator, capable of articulating ideas with impact to varied audiences.

Collaborative leader, demonstrating drive, accountability and a strong team ‑ oriented mindset.
