Job Description:
Impact assessment for application re-wiring: as-is vs to be data entities analysis and mapping
Resolving and troubleshooting data related issues and queries
Responsible for the collection, extraction and analysis of data to develop business intelligence to support day-to day and strategic business decisions.
Identify business problems when working with stakeholders, formulate problem statements and find ways to apply analytics to provide insight into solving and addressing the identified problem
Understanding data stored in legacy data warehousing systems and support migration to a central data lake
Conduct regular exchanges with stakeholders in need of data and in situations where data can be used to identify and solve business problems
Experience
Understanding and translating business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions
Evaluating already existing data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies
Partner with business stakeholders to improve data quality, resolve issues and enhance systems
Working experience with distributed on-prem Data Lakes as well as RDBMS (Oracle/SAP)
Testing newly sourced data sets against schemas
Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Hands-on experience with visual Data Transformation/Modeling tools (Alteryx, Dataiku, Tableau prep, Hackolade, Erwin)
Skills
Wide range of technical skills to perform data analysis end-to-end, practical understanding of statistics, data visualization and presentation skills
Expert SQL skills, preferably in mixed environments (i.e. classic DWH and distributed)
Knowledge of Banking data products / financial sector
Solid knowledge around financial data classification / sensitivity
Strong understanding of Data modeling standards, tools and processes
Strong understanding of data modeling tools (cleansing, Meta Data etc.)
Excellent business and IT stakeholder management skills
Good knowledge of German is beneficial, excellent command of English is essential
