Senior Azure Data Engineer (Databricks), Germany, Hybrid - Full Time Role.
A key client of mine is hiring for a Senior - Azure Data Engineer to join there team, you will be tasked with designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native data platforms using Azure Databricks and modern Lakehouse architecture.
You’ll build high-performance data pipelines, enable advanced analytics, and support AI-ready data solutions.
What You’ll Do:
Design and implement Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) Lakehouse architecture.
Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory \& Databricks (PySpark).
Develop batch \& real-time pipelines with Delta Lake \& Structured Streaming.
Migrate and modernize on-prem SQL workloads to Azure.
Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Deliver optimized data models \& dashboards in Power BI.
Enforce data governance, quality, and performance best practices.
Key Skills/ Experience:
10+ years in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing.
Azure Databricks \& PySpark.
Azure Data Factory.
Azure Synapse Analytics.
Azure SQL \& ADLS Gen2.
Deep understanding of dimensional modelling (Kimball).
Strong SQL \& performance tuning skills.
Azure / Databricks certifications a plus.
