We are seeking a passionate and creative Florist to run and manage our team. and the daily operations of the business. The ideal candidate will be responsible and in charge of a team designing and creating beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the presentation of our floral displays. The successful applicant will possess organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every arrangement meets our high standards of quality and aesthetic appeal.

Duties
Designing and assembling floral arrangements tailored to customer specifications and occasions such as weddings, funerals, and celebrations
Assisting customers with selecting flowers and related products, offering expert advice on floral care and arrangement options
Managing stock levels of flowers, foliage, vases, and other materials, ensuring timely replenishment and organisation and delegating tasks to staff.
Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including shop window and display areas and stock control and waste reduction
Budget management, understanding pricing and profit margins
Organising displays to optimise visual appeal and merchandising effectiveness
Providing guidance on flower care and horticultural practices to customers
Collaborating with suppliers to ensure the freshness and quality of flowers received
Keeping accurate records of sales, orders, and inventory levels ready for accounting
Participating in promotional activities to enhance the shop’s visibility within the community and dealing and setting up social media’s and dealing with suppliers and floristry associations, and build partnerships with wedding venues and local businesses.
Requirements
Previous experience in floristry or horticulture is a Must , the preferred candidate would be a fully qualified florist
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to produce high-quality arrangements efficiently
Excellent communication skills in English with a kind professional mannerism.
Knowledge of flowers, horticulture, and floral care techniques is advantageous
To run the daily operations of the business and take charge of the team. Ability to work well within a team and take charge as well as independently in a fast-paced environment to develop loyal customer relationships.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality standards and be flexible around busy operations times when needed.
The ability to motivate and inspire creative staff. Confident with decision making.
Fair and effective delegation and conflict resolution skills
Leading by example during busy periods
Passion for flowers, and creating aesthetically pleasing displays
Strong eye for colour, balance and design
Awareness of floral trends and seasonal styles
Ability to guide and critique designs constructively
Visual merchandising skills for shop displays
Clear communication with staff, customers and suppliers
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to handle complaints calmly and professionally
Confidence in discussing wedding, funeral and events requirements with customers
Sales driven mindset , and knowledge and understanding on how to improve sales and encourage the team
The ability to multitask under pressure and the ability to stay calm on high demand days
Physically fit
Flexible with working hours including weekends and holidays.
