Application Developer – Identity \& API Engineering

Sheffield, UK \| 3 days on‑site \| £450/day \| Inside IR35

Key Points:

Identity orchestration (provisioning, de‑provisioning, lifecycle automation)

API development (REST, auth integration, secure backend services)

Event‑driven workflows (Pub/Sub pipelines, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run)

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Developer to build secure, scalable identity and access workflows on Google Cloud Platform. You will design and implement identity lifecycle automation, develop secure RESTful APIs, and build event‑driven pipelines using Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run. The role involves creating Terraform modules, integrating with authentication services, and ensuring robust API security, performance, and observability. You will collaborate closely with Cloud Security, DevOps, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot identity workflows, support audits, and drive best practices across IAM, API development, and cloud‑native architectures. Strong programming skills, deep knowledge of modern identity standards, and experience with event‑driven systems are essential.
