The Wireless Design Field Engineering team is looking for a motivated, highly technical Field Engineer with excellent problem solving and communication skills. Description
You will join a dynamic team responsible for qualifying all of the latest Apple wireless products. Your focus will be testing the baseband and telephony features (phone, sms, data, etc) of the products.
You will complete both documented and ad-hoc testing to ensure high quality releases.
As part of this team you'll be impacting iPhone user experience in different countries by engaging in continuous process improvements for a well tested and robust software.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in Cellular Field Testing or protocol analysis for various wireless technologies (GSM/GPRS/UMTS/LTE/5G NSA/5G SA)
Basic cellular systems knowledge
Basic understanding of mobile network infrastructure
Able to travel internationally
Proficiency in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
Electrical Engineer or Computer Science degree
Being able to work independently
Demonstrate the ability to lead a complete functional area of an application or product
Excellent communication \& interpersonal skills
Being comfortable with working on hardware and in supporting engineering in debugging/reproducing issues
Thrive in a reciprocal environment and can clearly communicate while deftly driving multiple projects across many teams
