The role

As a

Senior Platform Engineer

, you’ll be part of a dedicated team that develops and maintains the platform foundation that empowers APS developers.

You’ll enable our development teams to deliver software faster, safer, and more reliably, through automation, observability, and scalable cloud design.

Your work includes:

Designing, automating, documenting, securing, and monitoring our AWS infrastructure

Developing self-service capabilities and reusable Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) building blocks for our Internal Developer Platform (IDP).

Delivering and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Develop and maintain observability features.

Working closely with developers, tech leads, and business teams to align on architecture, best practices, and added value.

Evaluating new tools, methods, and ideas to keep our platform modern, efficient, and sustainable.

Your focus area (choose one or more)

Depending on your strengths and interests, you’ll specialize in one of these domains:

Security / IAM

Building and maintaining secure identity and access management solutions, including our SSO platform (based on Keycloak).

Implementing secrets management and least-privilege principles.

Automating security for our platform and our developers, and ensuring compliance with NIST/ISO27001.

AI Development / Agentic AI

Designing and enabling AI workloads on the platform, including LLMs, guardrails, knowledge bases, and agentic systems.

Working with Python and modern frameworks such as Strand Agents.

Integrating GenAI capabilities into the developer platform.

A strong background in software development is essential.

FinOps / Cloud Cost Optimization

Implementing and maintaining tagging strategies to enable visibility and cost tracking.

Building dashboards to monitor and optimise cloud spending.

Using data and automation to promote cost awareness across teams — including gamified approaches to encourage efficient usage.

What you bring

Proven experience in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform/Terragrunt, GitLab, and ArgoCD.

Solid scripting/programming skills and an automation mindset.

Understanding of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and change management practices.

Broad knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and cloud security.

A team player with a curious mind and a drive for continuous improvement.

Nice to have

Experience with Crossplane, secrets management, or testing frameworks.

Linux administration experience.
