Job Title: GL Accountant – General Ledger

Reports To: Senior Accounting Manager (based in US)

Duration: 12 months Fixed Term

Location: Cork, Ireland (Hybrid)

Job Description:

Arlo’s finance team is expanding, and we’re seeking a GL Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-growing team in Cork. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract ideal for a detail-oriented accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and ensures the integrity of financial reporting through disciplined reconciliation and control processes.

Job Summary:

Arlo’s finance team is seeking a GL Accountant to support our month-end close activities, focusing on bank reconciliations, open PO accruals, and balance sheet accuracy. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and ensures the integrity of financial reporting through disciplined reconciliation and control processes.

Key Responsibilities:

General Ledger and Expense Management

Prepare and review monthly bank and investment reconciliations for assigned entities and regions.

Review open POs and record appropriate accruals during month-end close.

Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure data integrity.

Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly close schedules, journal entries, and reporting deliverables.

Assist with audit requests, providing supporting documentation for both internal and external auditors.

Collaborate cross-functionally with FP\&A, Tax, IT, and SEC Reporting to ensure accurate and timely accounting.

Prepare lease accounting entries, including amortization of lease liabilities and right-of-use (ROU) assets.

Support ad-hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned, including special analyses, reporting requests, and process improvement initiatives.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

Candidates must hold a recognized accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).

2-3 years of accounting experience in a SaaS, tech or capital-intensive environment preferred.

Experience in US GAAP is preferred.

Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups required).

Experience with Oracle 12 or Oracle Fusion is preferred.

Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Self-motivated and organized, able to operate independently.

Strong interpersonal skills and clear, concise written and verbal communication.
