About The Role
We're seeking a Data Engineer to drive data standardization initiatives and develop automation tools that improve data quality across our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Standardize data across multiple sources and formats to ensure consistency and quality
Build and maintain Python-based tools to automate data standardization processes
Design and implement scalable data pipelines using pandas and related libraries
Build data models and understand and implement data dictionaries and metadata definitions
Collaborate with data teams to identify standardization requirements and opportunities
Document data standards, transformation logic, and automation workflows
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in Python and pandas for data manipulation and transformation
Experience working with diverse data formats (CSV, JSON, Excel, PDFs etc.)
Understanding of data quality principles and best practices
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge of SQL for database queries and data extraction
Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
Experience with data validation and testing frameworks
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
0-2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated project work
