You're looking for a role that lets you lead the charge on strategic AI projects, designing and developing AI/ML models that are robust and scalable. As a Lead AI Engineer, you'll work closely with our Data Scientists, Analysts, Data Engineers, and Software Specialists to ensure seamless integration of end-to-end solutions. You'll be championing Responsible AI principles and supporting the development of technical standards, tooling, policies, and guardrails for our Chapter.
Your work will make a real difference for our customers and the banking industry in Aotearoa. You'll be delivering best-practice AI solutions that are fair, transparent, and safe. As a seasoned AI expert, here's what you bring to the table:
Understanding of best-practice model lifecycle management with MLOps - you're well-versed in getting the best results from your models.
Strong grasp of AI, machine learning, and statistical model fundamentals - you've got a solid foundation in supervised and unsupervised learning, regression, classification, and generative AI methods.
Experience with cloud providers like Azure or AWS and their AI/ML services - you've worked with these services and know how to get the most out of them.
Proficiency in languages like Python - you're a coding whiz who can write clean, efficient code.
Experience in developing and integrating REST APIs for end-to-end solutions - you're comfortable with API development and integration.
Exposure to notebook environments like Jupyter Notebook or Databricks - you're familiar with these tools and know how to use them effectively.
Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to business stakeholders and technical collaborators - you're a great communicator who can simplify the complex.
