We are looking for a Product Manager â Correspondent Banking to join our team. In this influential role, youâll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and driving value from a portfolio of correspondent banking products. Youâll work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver commercial objectives, manage risk, and support outstanding customer outcomes.
Youâll leverage your expertise in international payments, product development, and risk management, to ensure our products remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with ASBâs wider organisational strategy. Your ability to analyse data, identify opportunities and risks, and deliver commercially sound recommendations will be key to your success.
This is a 1-year secondment/fixed term within Corporate Banking.

This Role Would Suit Someone With
Experience in complex international payments ecosystems, including Correspondent Banking relationships, technology, payment networks (such as Swift), and pricing.
A strong understanding of legal and regulatory environments in both local and international financial services.
An understanding of Vostroâs, Nostroâs and RMAâs and their role in supporting the global financial system.
Working knowledge of inherent risks in Correspondent Banking relationships.
Demonstrated experience in risk mitigation, including identification of control gaps and resolution
Practical knowledge of banking and financial markets, especially FX.
Proven ability to influence, problem-solve, and analyse or reengineer processes.
Strong relationship-building skills across all levels of an organisation.
Experience in product development, project management, and channel distribution.
Analytical experience with qualitative, quantitative, and financial data.
At least 5 yearsâ experience in product, risk and/or project management, or equivalent customer-facing experience.
What Youâll Be Responsible For
Serving as the product expert for your portfolio, driving best practice product management
Developing insights and analytic requirements to guide product decisions and inform strategy
Ensuring all products comply with regulatory obligations, internal policies, and risk frameworks
Monitoring market trends to ensure we stay ahead of the curve in the fast-moving payments landscape
Developing and monitoring appropriate metrics to measure product performance.
