The Customer Tribe work across ASB Bank to drive business process orchestration and automation for a variety of initiatives through specialist software. The tribe is a mix of collaborative experts who simply love enabling automation, making life easy for ASBers and our Customers.
As a Senior Software Engineer – CPU squad in Customer Tribe, you'll be responsible for developing and supporting APIs. Being part of Digital and Engineering Practice at ASB we encourage our teams to work autonomously in an Agile way while actively growing their skills and expertise to continuously improve outcomes for our customers.
You’ll have an opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work that integrate on an enterprise scale level, all while being part of smaller squads in our Tribe maintaining a high level of service and availability for our system.
Key responsibilities:
Designing, maintaining, and developing our APIs.
Continuously improving processes and technologies to ensure scalability and high availability.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their needs.
Monitoring, alerting, and reporting on environments.
Mentoring and uplifting best practices.
Working with CI/CD tools like ADO Pipelines, GitHub Actions.

Essential:
4 to 8 years of C# development.
Experience in designing MVC pattern.
Experience in working with CI/CD pipelines like ADO Pipelines, GitHub Actions.
Experience in working with MS SQL and relational database.
Experience as a backend developer with REST API / Microservices.
Knowledge of design patterns for scalability, performance, and reliability.
Good understanding and experience of working using Agile principles.
Mentoring/ guiding on standards and best practices in code development, quality and technical design.
Desirable:
API Development experience using .NET / C# Stack.
Knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
