Te Tūranga \| The role

As a Senior Systems Specialist, you'll be part of the squad that is driving the evolution of ASB’s IT technical support within the ServiceNow platform – to implement, administer, and develop ServiceNow and other related tools to support our business.

You'll have the opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work that integrate on an enterprise scale, all while being part of a smaller squad that makes their own decisions about how to work through prioritisation - so your voice will be heard, and your opinions valued.

The focus of this role will be to administer and support various modules within ServiceNow on an ongoing basis, identifying capability uplift opportunities and delivery integration projects.

We advocate agile, fully cross functional teams which will take you through all facets of engineering in any given day. As part of the ServiceNow squad you will be asked to contribute to the following areas:

Working with CXO (Customer Experience Owner) to help refine requirements and plan work for sprints

Technical analysis and collaboration with platforms and project teams to drive technical solutions for (but not limited to) ITOM, HRSD and ITSM

Build and design new ServiceNow capabilities

Maintain and extend existing ServiceNow capabilities

Additional development of integrations

Provide assistance with incident management

Operational support and administration of the Snow/Flexera and ILMT agents

We are looking for an individual that will use their skills and knowledge of to help deliver a critical service for our customers. You will work collaboratively with our platforms and project teams to deliver successful outcomes for ServiceNow and related services.

We'll value your proven initiative, problem solving abilities and ways in which you have shown leadership while performing your role.

You will work alongside a team of dedicated engineers who know the meaning of collaboration and support, with a wealth of knowledge of the business and products.

With regards to background, you will need the following capabilities:

3-5 years’ ServiceNow development and administration experience

Can design and develop applications using HTML and Javascript

Good understanding of API design and development

Excellent knowledge sharing and documentation skills

Agile and DevOps experience

Comfortable working in a banking environment with regulatory requirements

In addition, any of the following would be a huge bonus:

Good understanding of cloud networking and technologies

Application support and sysadmin knowledge

A strong sense of autonomy
