As a Software Specialist - Mobile (Android), you will:
Develop and own the creation of mobile digital experiences that set the standard for innovation, accessibility, and usability.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to other team members, supporting the growth of our software engineering capability.
Work alongside cross-functional teams—including security, risk, design, product, and technology—to deliver high-quality products in line with ASB's standards and practices.
Contribute to sprint planning by translating technical requirements into actionable tasks, prioritising work, and estimating delivery timelines.
Actively participate in knowledge sharing, foster a culture of peer learning, and support the professional development of your colleagues.
Advocate for and deliver high-quality, accessible, and secure mobile solutions, following SDLC best practices and driving continuous improvement.
Ensure integration with ASB's existing systems adheres to best practices while identifying opportunities to optimise our development processes.
Contribute to maintaining and improving technical documentation, shared component libraries, and other valuable resources.

You are a passionate and experienced mobile developer with a strong focus on Android. You thrive on delivering innovative, accessible, and secure digital experiences, and you're eager to help shape the future of banking through technology. You enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
5+ years of experience in mobile development, with deep expertise in Android (Java, Kotlin, Dagger, Hilt, Jetpack Compose, Navigation Components, Android SDK).
Solid understanding of design patterns such as MVP, MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Android Architecture Components.
Proven technical leadership, with experience mentoring and supporting other developers.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to building relationships across teams and stakeholders.
Deep knowledge of secure development practices, including OWASP principles.
A passion for testing best practices and building robust, scalable mobile applications.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, a growth mindset, and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
Demonstrated ability to plan and manage sprints, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of features.
Nice to have:
iOS App Development experience
Unit \& UI testing experience
Experience in maintaining and improving technical documentation and shared component libraries
