About the Role

Job Title: DevOps Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Richmond, Virginia

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure using cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring of applications.

Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and reliable releases of software products.

Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and reliability.

Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

Ensure security best practices are followed and compliance requirements are met.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior DevOps engineers.

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve the infrastructure and processes.

Minimum Qualifications

Previous experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.

Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS).

Proficiency in scripting and programming languages.

Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.

Strong understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure concepts.

Desired Qualifications

Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).

Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.

Experience with automation tools and configuration management.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Position Information

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual [salary/hourly rate] for this position is between [$100,000 – 120,000 annually]/[$55.00 - 65.00 per hour]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
