We are seeking a skilled Senior IT Engineer to join our growing MSP team in Lower Hutt. This role is ideal for someone with strong Microsoft platform expertise and hands‑on experience with systems management tools such as ConnectWise. You'll be stepping into a client‑focused position where you'll take ownership of delivering exceptional technical outcomes, shaping clients' technology environments, and contributing to the continued growth and professionalism of our service offering. As a senior member of the team, you'll play a key role in ensuring our clients' IT systems remain reliable, secure, and strategically aligned with their business goals.Responsibilities include:
Proactively maintain and support a wide range of client IT infrastructures, delivering high‑quality ICT services, technical support, and project implementation.
Meet monthly productivity and billable time targets while adhering to all client SLAs and providing regular communication on progress, issues, and expectations
Assess clients' ongoing technology needs, develop strategic technology roadmaps, and identify opportunities to enhance or expand IT Works services
Act as a virtual IT Advisor/IT Manager for clients lacking in‑house technical expertise, preparing solution designs, scoping documents, project plans, and assisting with SLA development
Mentor junior team members to improve their technical and business skills, while ensuring accurate and timely site documentation, job logging, and compliance with all site access and Health \& Safety requirements
Ideally, you will have worked as an IT Lead or Senior IT Engineer previously, however, this position will suit a motivated individual who is keen to progress in their career and become part of a close-knit and friendly team.
Skills \& Experiences:
MSP Background, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise accordingly.
Preferred experience of ConnectWise Automate and Manage platforms or similar.
Solid technical background in a managed services environment, including networks, server
hardware, storage, software, and telecommunications.
Solid technical background in Windows Server 2012 - 2022, and Cloud Services
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, and SQL Server.
Good networking knowledge, TCP/IP, Firewall, and Wireshark
