About The Role This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means 1 day on-site per week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.
As ATBâs next Intermediate API Gateway Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs, API Gateway proxies, and various integrations. Working collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals, your primary focus will be to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that facilitate seamless integrations. While teamwork is essential, you will also be responsible for independently delivering assigned tasks, ensuring they are completed on time and meet strict quality standards.
Accountabilities
Design, code, and integrate high-quality features and API products based on Technical Product Owner (TPO) specifications and architectural standards.
Develop and maintain secure, scalable, and performant API integrations and solutions that drive core business projects.
Build and support automated test harnesses to ensure the delivery of resilient, production-ready code.
Author and maintain comprehensive documentation for deployment, maintenance, and support to ensure long-term system reliability.
Proactively monitor, diagnose, and resolve straightforward operational and performance issues to ensure high availability of production services, collaborating with senior developers when complex cross-system problems arise.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the seamless integration of APIs and solutions into the gateway and broader ecosystem.
Provide relevant knowledge transfer to new team members and assist in guiding Junior developers in their day-to-day tasks.
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving to challenges, proactively seeking guidance from senior developers or leadership to develop constructive solutions.
Skills, Experience \& Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience.
Proficient in one or more programming languages including but not limited to: Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript.
Experience supporting the full application lifecycle by troubleshooting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab) and enforcing source code management best practices.
Knowledge of application lifecycle skills including API design, test definition, and technical analysis.
