Software Engineer
, based in
Basel, Switzerland
for a major financial institution.
Responsibilities
Lead the transition to updated frameworks, tools, and platforms, ensuring smooth integration and minimal disruption
Enhance and restructure existing systems to improve maintainability, efficiency, and long-term stability
Mentor team members by sharing best practices, offering technical guidance, and supporting continuous improvement
Expand functionality within the e-banking back-end by designing new modules and features
Develop and evolve high-performance software solutions using modern technology stacks
Requirements
Strong command of Microsoft SQL Server, advanced T-SQL, and up-to-date knowledge of .NET 8.0
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in C# development
Self-driven, hands-on mindset with the ability to operate independently
Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex issues, prioritise effectively, and apply strong analytical thinking
Capable of thriving under pressure while maintaining high-quality output
Degree (University / FH) in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional training
Experience spearheading or contributing to technology-driven initiatives
Confident working with cross-functional teams and comfortable taking ownership of tasks and decisions
Excellent command of English
