Lead Transmission Lines Engineer

What’s the mahi?

We’re looking for an experienced transmission lines engineer who can lead from the front. This role is about combining strong technical judgement with practical delivery, working closely with clients, namely Transpower, and project teams to make a real impact on New Zealand’s transmission network.

What you’ll do:* Lead and grow the transmission team’s business, including market strategy, opportunity shaping, and a key contributor to our Transpower relationships.

Support proposals and bidding; build a healthy pipeline and forward workload.

Plan and manage projects end-to-end (scope, programme, budget, quality, risk).

Oversee end-to-end design of transmission lines, including modelling, structural design, and foundations.

Deliver and review design reports and key technical outputs.

What you’ll bring:* Demonstrated experience working with Transpower, with a strong understanding of their standards \& systems, and have existing relationships with key stakeholders

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

Proficiency in PLS software (PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE).

Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.

Well established industry network in New Zealand and/or Australia, with credibility across utilities, contractors, and regulators.
