About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software systems supporting enterprise data platforms and system integrations. This is a hands-on senior role focused on delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions across cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, services, and components supporting data platforms and integrations.

Develop and optimise software code using Python and SQL to implement data processing, transformation, and integration logic.

Build and support API-based and event-driven integrations between enterprise systems.

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and deployment processes.

Lead software design and code reviews, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, security practices, and performance requirements.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional software solutions, producing technical documentation and supporting ongoing enhancements.

Skills \& Experience

Extensive senior-level experience (typically 10+ years) in software engineering roles.

Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.

Experience building enterprise software systems, integrations, and data-driven applications.

Experience with cloud platforms and modern data technologies (e.g. Azure or AWS, Snowflake, dbt).

Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), performance optimisation, and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
