About The Opportunity
We are looking for a DevOps / Technical Support Engineer to support a development team working on the internationalization and maintenance of a large-scale e-commerce platform. The project involves a microservices architecture running on on-premises Kubernetes clusters and on-premises virtual machines, requiring hands-on deployment, troubleshooting, and coordination with engineering teams and clients.
Responsibilities
Support the development team responsible for translating and adapting an e-commerce platform composed of distributed microservices.
Manage and troubleshoot deployments of Kubernetes microservices packaged with Helm charts.
Operate and maintain Jenkins pipelines, including diagnosing and resolving failures in CI/CD jobs and automated deployment processes.
Collaborate with development teams building services in Java and Python, understanding the deployment requirements of each.
Troubleshoot client ecosystem tools that rely primarily on Jenkins self-service pipelines.
Work with backend technologies such as PostgreSQL databases and Kafka instances, supporting connectivity, configuration, and integration issues.
Retrieve and analyze logs from Kubernetes pods and on-premises VMs using tools like Grafana, ELK (Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana), and Jenkins logs.
Participate in client meetings—conducted in English—to gather requirements, clarify needs, provide updates, and align expectations.
Track and manage work using a Kanban workflow.
Contribute to improvements in deployment processes, monitoring, documentation, and troubleshooting procedures.
Required Qualifications
Strong communication skills and ability to participate in English-speaking client meetings.
Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized application deployments in on-premises environments.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, especially Jenkins.
Basic to intermediate experience with microservices written in Java and Python.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Kafka.
Ability to diagnose issues in distributed systems using logs, dashboards, and monitoring tools (Grafana, ELK, etc.).
Experience working with on-premises infrastructure
Experience working with Agile/Kanban methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with complex systems.
Strong experience debugging legacy system built in Java.
Nice To Have Skills
Experience with enterprise-scale e-commerce platforms.
Knowledge of networking, authentication, and authorization concepts
Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python).
Experience with Groovy for Jenkins Pipeline-as-Code.
