Job Description: Legal Village is AXA Belgium’s dynamic Legal Protection entity and a cornerstone in the P\&C Retail growth strategy. The CEO of Legal Village will lead the upcoming transformation and growth chapter of this entity, turning it from a challenger into a reference in the market – for brokers, partners and customers.
As CEO of Legal Village, you will take full ownership of the Strategy, P\&L and Operations of the entity, driving a strong commercial momentum in close alignment with the Chief P\&C Retail Officer and Chief Distribution Officer. You will also represent Legal Village externally, positioning it as a trusted and qualitative partner, and internally, steering cross-functional collaboration to deliver the strategy across Distribution, Finance, Product Management, Pricing, Underwriting, and Claims.
Key responsibilities:
Within this strategic leadership role, you will:
Define and implement the end-to-end strategy for Legal Village in Belgium, ensuring alignment with AXA Belgium’s strategic ambitions and P\&C Retail objectives.
Manage the P\&L of Legal Village, driving profitable growth and delivering the Strategic Plan objectives through effective management of premiums, margins, and operational excellence.
Lead the commercial strategy of Legal Village:

Steer and coordinate the Sales team, ensuring qualitative technical support to the brokers and partners.

Leverage AXA Belgium’s One Distribution model, working closely with P\&C Retail Business Managers and P\&C Corporate Account Managers to unlock market opportunities.

Engage actively in broker relationship management, including hunting new brokers, identifying \& building strategic partnerships, negotiating commercial agreements, and defining the commissioning strategy.
Shape a differentiated Product \& Pricing strategy, ensuring Legal Village offers a competitive and profitable value proposition that meets the evolving needs of brokers and partners.
Drive technical excellence and agility in underwriting, ensuring the team delivers fast, qualitative support to brokers and customers in a high-growth environment.
Steer the Claims ecosystem, unlocking levers of profitability, operational efficiency, and service quality improvement in collaboration.
Unlock the potential of technology and AI to optimize processes and unlock new business potential.
Ensure regulatory, legal, and fiscal compliance across all operations, maintaining the highest standards of governance.
Represent Legal Village at AXA Belgium’s Retail CoDir and other governance bodies (such as P\&C Business Review), influencing strategic decisions and ensuring the entity’s voice and ambitions are well integrated into AXA’s overall roadmap
Your Profile
You are a seasoned insurance executive with strong strategic, commercial, and leadership skills.
You combine business acumen, negotiation skills, and entrepreneurial drive with the ability to mobilize teams and stakeholders around an ambitious growth strategy.
Key competencies and experience:
Proven experience in P\&L ownership, strategy definition, and commercial development within the insurance sector.
Strong understanding of brokers and distribution ecosystems in Belgium, with the ability to build, influence, and negotiate partnerships.
Technical expertise in underwriting, product development, and Operations, with the ability to translate technical excellence into commercial success.
Strong leadership and people management skills; able to inspire teams, foster collaboration, and drive performance in a matrixed environment.
Demonstrated success in managing internal stakeholder ecosystems, bridging functions such as Distribution, Underwriting, Product Management, Pricing, Claims, IT, and Finance.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and execution capabilities, able to connect vision to action and deliver measurable outcomes.
Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to represent Legal Village in high-stakes internal and external discussions.
Trilingual: French, Dutch, English.
