As a Lead Engineer, you will support development through individual and teamwork. This position will require strong fundamentals in a range of electrical developments from component level printed circuit board developments to full multi-modular electrical system level engineering. The qualified candidate will lead efforts on assigned task from concept requirement to validation testing and commercial release. The position may also include opportunities for leadership responsibilities in a team of early and mid-career engineers.
Baker Hughes utilizes state of the art and industry standard development tools such as Altium Designer, SolidWorks, Ansys, Teamcenter and a variety of other application specific tools for developments.
As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Lead a team of early to mid-career electrical engineers on electrical developments of medium to high complexity.
Capturing electrical design specifications, generating requirements, executing design and design validation followed by commercial release.
Active participant in electrical design as well as mentoring less experienced team members
Technical interface with multinational and cross functional teams across the globe.
Sharing knowledge gained in projects through updating documentation and best-practice improvements

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Have large experience in Electrical Engineering developments.
Show excellent written and verbal communications skills
Fluent in English and Portuguese
Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with teams, customers and stakeholders
Have solid project management skills and the ability to lead and deliver successful projects or programs
Display the ability to identify and resolve problems and be able to implement effective improvements
New product introduction
Work closely with Operations team on RCA and customer engineering solutions
Mentoring and handling complex engineering work
Continuous follow up with HQ engineering with regards to new development and solutions.
In house Engineering hands-on experience
o Analog and digital hardware design
§ Schematic design in Altium
§ Circuit simulating on Simetrix or LT spice
§ Power conversion experience (DC/DC, AC/DC and DC/AC) is a plus
o Proficient with the full PCBA manufacturing process and proper specification of assemblies.
o Firmware development in C, assembly.
o FPGA experience in VHDL is a plus.
o Python and C++, C# application experience is a plus
o PLC and control systems experience is a plus
