The
devOps engineer
enables the
R\&D team
to create software and automate operational processes by
Defining CI/CD pipelines for new projects.
Simplify, stabilize and speed up the current CI/CD pipelines.
Choose/migrate and configure tooling (SW build and package management, version control, monitoring code quality, …)
Improve and automate the software development process and the required infrastructure.
Carry out the devSecOps practices within the whole R\&D organisation. Setup and lead the devOps guild.
On longer term: Steer, guide and follow up devSecOps activities within the team.
The Must Haves For This Role
Previous experience as a system administrator on the three major platforms (Linux, Windows, macOS), with a solid understanding of system administration concepts, networking, and security.
Strong background as a software engineer, with proficiency in Python and in at least one of the following languages: C++, Ruby, Javascript, Groovy, Kotlin.
Proficient in scripting languages like Bash for automation.
Demonstrated experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC).
Proven expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for software development and deployment.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker (knowledge of orchestration platforms is a plus).
Experience in working with Android build systems.
Strong understanding of observability and monitoring tools, techniques, and best practices.
Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git and SVN.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and within a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies/stacks.
Nice To Have
Familiarity with embedded systems development and constraints.
Experience with any of the major cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Understanding of agile methodologies and development practices.
