What you'll be doing

Support the site in the design/construction/upgrade of automation solutions as applicable

Manage and execute assigned automation projects

Provide technical support to the existing automation solutions

Develop the appropriate programming solutions for each of the automation projects assigned

Ensure automation projects are delivered in the required timeframe to the internal customer

Develop and maintain the programming skills of own for robotics (Fanuc/Motoman/Staubli) or similar that automation solutions require

Develop and maintain the PLC skills of own for Allen Bradley and applicable related servo drives

Understanding of Design programs such as AUTOCAD, SOLIDWORKS, desirable INVENTOR

Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding business objectives and cost implications.

Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.

Maintain quality and safety standards.

Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions.

Analyze site processes, design and implement improvements

What you'll bring

Required:

University Bachelor Degree of Engineering

Mechatronics, electrical or Electromechanical

Automation Engineering in High-Speed Manufacturing

Allen-Bradley/Rockwell programming (PLC, HMI, VFD)

Emerson Servo Programming

Fanuc/Motoman Robotic programming – Staubli a Plus

Vision Systems for inspection and locating – Cognex is a Plus

Digital and Analogue Instrumentation

Muti-up Robotics

3 – 5 years’ experience · Strong Communication \& Interpersonal skills and a positive attitude are needed to work with all levels of the organization

Strong ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.

Good working knowledge of SOP’s/Specs/URS/FRS/Schematics

Multi-skilled, creative, flexible, and versatile to work with all plant systems and processes while trouble- or upgrading systems

Ability to develop and integrate programming techniques that will enhance worker/process productivity and quality

Capable of executing validation protocols for projects/upgrades to existing equipment

Preferred:

P.Eng

Licensed Electrician

cGMP \& ISO Knowledge

Network Communication, Bar Code Systems, Wireless Ethernet LAN, VBA

ICONICS HMI Software

Validation experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing

5+ years’ experience

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated salary range for this position is $80,560 - $120,840 annually, which reflects base salary as well as estimated target payout under the Management Incentive Compensation Plan. Individual pay will be determined based upon skills, expertise and experience, and the incentive, which is contingent upon company and individual performance outcomes.
