Job Summary

AI Application Developer role will build intelligent business solutions using modern AI

platforms and lightweight custom development. This role focuses on designing and delivering AI-driven applications, copilots, and workflow automations using Google Gemini Studio, Python-based AI services, and React front-end components, with selective use of low-code platforms to accelerate integration and automation.

You’ll create AI-enabled experiences that integrate enterprise data, automate decision-making, and embed generative AI into real business workflows balancing custom development with low-code orchestration where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

AI-Centric Application Development:

Design and deliver AI-powered applications using:

o Google Gemini Studio (text, multimodal, and generative AI use cases)

o Python for AI services, orchestration, data processing, and model integration

o React for user interfaces, dashboards, and embedded AI experiences

o Build secure, reusable AI services (APIs) that support:

o Conversational AI and copilots

o Document intelligence and summarization

o Knowledge retrieval and decision support

o Intelligent automation and recommendations

o Integrate Gemini, Azure OpenAI, and other enterprise AI endpoints into production

solutionsAI Studio \& Model Lifecycle

o Design, configure, and evaluate AI solutions using:

o Gemini Studio

o Microsoft AI Studio (Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio) where required

o Apply prompt engineering, prompt chaining, and model optimization techniques.

o Support AI model lifecycle activities, including testing, versioning, monitoring, and

continuous improvement.

o Implement Responsible AI practices (fairness, explain ability, transparency, and

safety).

Workflow Automation \& Low-Code Enablement

o Use low-code platforms (e.g., Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio) to:

o Orchestrate workflows triggered by AI outputs

o Integrate AI services with enterprise systems

o Enable business users to interact with AI-powered solutions

o Ensure low-code tools complement—not replace—custom AI application

development.

Integration \& Data

o Integrate applications with:

o Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint

o SQL and cloud-based data platforms

o REST APIs and third-party AI services

o Design secure data flows for structured and unstructured data used in AI workloads.

o Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection best practices.

Governance, Security \& Responsible AI

o Contribute to AI governance standards, including:

o Data privacy and compliance

o Model usage guidelines and auditability

o Bias mitigation and transparency

o Apply environment strategies, security controls, and lifecycle management for AI enabled solutions.

o Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Work Location : Bayshore Healthcare, National Office, Mississauga ON

Hybrid – At least 2 days onsite weekly

Qualifications:Qualification

3–5+ years of experience building applications or services using modern

development platforms.

Hands-on experience delivering AI-powered applications using LLMs or generative

AI.

Strong working knowledge of:

o Python for backend services, AI orchestration, or data processing

o React (or similar frameworks) for front-end development

Experience with AI Studio platforms (Gemini Studio, Azure OpenAI, or equivalent).

Solid understanding of prompt engineering, AI model behavior, and ethical AI

considerations.

Strong business analysis and stakeholder communication skills.

Technical

Experience with Google Gemini Studio and Gemini APIs.

Experience with Azure Open AI Service or Copilot Studio in enterprise

environments.

Experience with Power platform and Azure services.

Familiarity with:

API-first and microservice architectures

AI orchestration patterns (RAG, agent-based workflows)

CI/CD and environment management for AI solutions
