Job Description

Job Objective

The DevOps engineer will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the engineering infrastructure, managing secure engineering operations, and maintaining internal development tools/software. This includes automating engineering workflows, maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, and contributing to product development efforts. This role will work closely with developers, QA and IT to streamline and secure all aspects of CI/CD and play a key role in further advancing the department. Key Responsibilities* Design, build and maintain CI/CD workflows with a strong focus on source code security, access control, and automation to support on-premise and cloud-based engineering operations.

Promote well established industry-standard best-practices in CI/CD across all technical areas and solutions

Continuously improve deployment speed and system resilience through automation and observability

Play a key role in developing and maintaining all aspects of public cloud infrastructure solutions, including automated virtual machine deployment and ongoing support for team’s infrastructure needs

Continuously monitor and improve systems for performance, security, scalability, and automation

Work closely with Engineering and QA to troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues in development, staging, and production environments

Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Strong understanding of CI/CD principles, with hands-on experience creating and maintaining pipelines using GitHub actions and workflows

At least 7 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or a similar role

Experience in supporting container-based solutions utilizing Docker and Kubernetes

Familiarity with Microsoft Azure PAAS and SAAS services, including computer, networking, storage, containers and identify management

Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly using tools like Terraform, Bicep, ARM

Knowledge of public and private cloud infrastructure security best practices

Proficiency in PowerShell or like scripting languages for automation and system management

Experience working within Lean and Agile development environments

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This is primarily an office-based role. It requires extended periods of sitting, hand use for typing and writing, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Occasional standing, walking, or bending may be required. The employee

must be able to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally, which may include office supplies or small office equipment. Visual acuity is necessary for reading, writing, and computer work. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours including evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. AAP/EEO Statement
