Position: Technical Team Lead

Belle.ai is looking for a Technical Team Lead who acts as a true "Product Founder" on the engineering side, focusing on the application of AI in medicine. You will serve as the technical backbone for our entire product ecosystem, not just a single application.

This role is ideal for someone who is product-driven, ambitious, curious, and not afraid to step outside pure engineering to learn medical knowledge.

You will lead the engineering execution across two critical evolutionary stages of the company:

Search for Product-Market-Fit (PMF): Rapid experimentation and "build fast, learn fast."

Growth \& Scale: Transforming successful MVPs into robust, scalable enterprise-grade systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Holistic Technical Ownership (All Products Scope)

You are responsible for the technical integrity of the entire platform, covering both Consumer (C) and Business/Provider (B) sides:

Consumer Ecosystem: Build high-engagement mobile apps (React Native/Flutter) for users to scan skin, track progress, and receive AI advice.

Provider \& Internal Ecosystem: Architect and develop complex Web Portals for Dermatologists, Clinics, and internal Admin tools to manage data and interactions securely.

AI \& Core Integration: seamless integration of AI models, LLM APIs, and RAG pipelines across all products (Consumer App \& Doctor Dashboard).

2. Dual-Mode Engineering Execution

Stage 1: The "Speed Lab" (Pre- Product-Market-Fit (PMF) / Feature Discovery)

Build Fast, Learn Fast: Lead the squad to ship MVPs and experimental features in record time. Your goal here is validating market hypotheses, not writing perfect code.

Vibe Coding / AI-Augmented Speed: Actively utilize AI coding assistants (Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate development. You embrace the "10x Engineer" mindset to bypass boilerplate and focus on shipping value.

Rapid Prototyping: Be comfortable with throwing away code if a feature doesn't stick. Prioritize speed-to-market and user feedback loops.

Stage 2: The "Scale Engine" (Post-PMF / Growth)

Robust Architecture: Once a product/feature hits PMF, shift gears to a long-term mindset. Lead the refactoring of "hacky" MVP code into a stable, secure, and scalable architecture.

Scalability \& Performance: Ensure the system handles high concurrency and data loads as our user base and provider network grow globally.

System Reliability: Establish rigorous standards for security (HIPAA/GDPR compliance mindset), testing, and uptime for our critical Provider Portals and Consumer Apps.

3. Technical Leadership \& DevOps

Lead the Squad: Mentor a nimble team of developers. Conduct code reviews that adapt to the context: lenient on structure during prototyping, strict on quality during scaling.

Communication: Communicate clearly with managers and give helpful, professional feedback to team members to build a positive and effective working environment.

Incident Management:

Primary technical point of contact during critical system failures or high-priority incidents, leading the investigation and rapid recovery to minimize business disruption.

Provide clear, timely, and non-technical updates to stakeholders (PO, Management) regarding incident status, impact, and estimated time of recovery (ETR).

Lead post-incident reviews to identify underlying technical or process gaps; ensure the team implements permanent fixes rather than temporary workarounds.

Efficiently organize and delegate tasks among team members during emergencies, ensuring balanced effort and preventing burnout while maintaining 24/7 service stability.

DevOps Autonomy: Manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud resources (AWS/GCP/Firebase) to ensure the product team is self-sufficient and unblocked.

Data-Driven Iteration: Implement analytics (Mixpanel, Amplitude) deeply into both Consumer and Provider products to drive product decisions.

Requirements Must-Haves

Experience:

10+ years of Fullstack engineering experience. Must have a portfolio demonstrating ability to build complex ecosystems (Consumer Apps + Admin/Provider Dashboards).

Have experience leading cross-functional teams, setting clear goals, taking responsibility for the team’s work, and supporting members to improve their skills and performance.

Dual Mindset: Demonstrated ability to switch between "Hacker Mode" (getting things done fast) and "Architect Mode" (building for scale and stability).

True Fullstack: Fluent in shifting context between Mobile UI (React Native/Flutter), Backend Logic (Python/Node.js), and Admin Web Apps (React/Next.js).

The "Vibe Coding" Senior: You are an expert at prompting AI to generate code blocks, refactors, and debugs to maximize velocity.

Startup DNA: You thrive in ambiguity. You are willing to "wear many hats"—from fixing a server config to tweaking a CSS animation for better UX.

English: Fluent English is mandatory for global collaboration.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with Generative AI products (wrapping LLMs, image generation).

Previous experience in HealthTech, Telemedicine, or Booking platforms.

Experience transitioning a product specifically from MVP to Series A/B scale.
