We're hiring a Lead GenAI / Python Engineer to join a growing AI engineering team working on intelligent automation and GenAI platforms. The role is hybrid, with an office base in Cork and flexible attendance depending on business needs.
The role
You'll work across delivery and engineering, contributing hands-on while helping guide work across multiple teams and vendors. The focus is on intelligent document processing, GenAI platforms, and emerging Agentic AI use cases.
Key responsibilities
Lead and coordinate delivery across internal teams and external partners
Hands-on development, solution design, and technical quality assurance
Build and maintain scalable, reliable platforms with strong automated testing and resilience
Develop AI-driven document processing solutions and system integrations
Contribute to GenAI and Agentic AI initiatives, including chat-based and automation agents
Technical experience
Strong Python engineering background (packaging, dependency management, virtual environments)
API and backend frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, and Pydantic
Solid testing practices: unit tests, mocking, coverage
Containerisation with Docker and CI/CD using GitHub Actions
SQL databases (Postgres/MySQL), ORMs, and performance tuning
Experience with GenAI, LLMs, RAG, and prompt design
Ways of working

Comfortable owning requirements, design decisions, and delivery quality
