Your Responsabilities
Maintain and extend our Power BI semantic data model so that it meets our stakeholder needs in terms of scope, usability and performance. You will own the entire data flow from ingestion into our data warehouse up to the curated semantic layer used company-wide.
Engage with key stakeholders to understand the business vision, requirements and priorities, and translate these into clean, scalable data models and reusable DAX measures.
Refine, challenge and support requests from stakeholders and create or adapt reports accordingly, while ensuring that new requirements fit into our established modelling standards.
Develop and ensure reporting standards, KPI definitions and modelling guidelines throughout the company to enable business users to perform reliable self-service analytics
Help identify, define and specify future analytical requirements and new data points arising from product features or business processes.
Collaborate in a cross-functional team with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to ensure consistent modelling logic and data availability.
Your Qualifications
Several years of professional experience as a BI / Analytics Engineer or Data Analyst with expertise in Power BI, including DAX and data modelling beyond report building.
Experience in dimensional modelling (star schemas, fact/dimension design) and the ability to build maintainable semantic models.
Git and proficiency in SQL - familiarity with ecommerce data is a plus.
Highly passionate about data, with creative problem-solving abilities and an eye for detail.
At least Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject, e.g. computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, economics, is a huge plus.
Very good English communication skills, German is a plus.
